This CC acquisition landed safely in Farnham earlier today. A very interesting tale which I will relate in due course.

Du Port, Lieutenant Osmond Charteris, 67th Battery, Royal Field Artillery | QSA (6) CC Tal DoL OFS Tr LN | 2nd Lieutenant 2 Nov 1895. Lieutenant 2 Nov 1898. Also served A Bty RHA. He served in the Boer War, 1899 - 1900. Operations in Natal, 1899, including the actions at Talana and Lombard's Kop. Defence of Ladysmith (slightly wounded).
