As the new custodian of Steve's QSA to Gorringe's Flying Column.
I was wondering if my learned colleagues in South Africa may be able to help in providing any further information on Trooper George Gregor Buttner?

Your help will be most welcomed.

Dave......
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
Best regards,
Dave

Found on Ancestry:

Delving a bit deeper his parents arrived in SA on 13 January 1859 and he had 8 elder siblings. I cannot vouch for the accuracy especially as there is a lack of records to back up the various dates the FT creator has put against events & people.
