Hello members,
I have come across a QSA with OFS, Rhodesia & CC which is engraved as per image to 52042 G. D. PARKINSON. E.R.A. NAVAL BRIGADE.
I cant find his name on this site and am not sure about the naming style which is chisel engraved I think.
Any clues will be greatly appreciated

This QSA with OFS, Rhodesia & CC is chisel engraved in capitals which doesn't seem to be correct.

Yes, that QSA to Naval Brigade is definitely re-engraved. There were very few Rhodesia clasps awarded to the RN; Fevyer and Wilson list just eight. Re the naming on your medal, RN medals to officers were often engraved and the many RN QSAs to enlisted personnel were impressed.

I agree with IL that this is a renamed medal.

You should be able to see that the rim is thinner where the renaming has taken place.

I saw this medal in an auction in Adelaide a couple of weeks ago and did not bid on it for three reasons.
1. I could not find him on Ancestry medal rolls
2. I thought all naval QSA.s were named to ships
3. The Rhodesia bar also put me off
