Has anyone any info on this outfit? Medal roll only shows 2 names, both entitled to the RoL and TH clasps> It goes on to say that they were with the 2nd Division in Natal (who were they?), and that they were recruited from the Pietermaritzburg Town Guard.

Very unusual.

The 2nd Infantry Division, NFF was commanded by Maj.Gen. Lyttleton and comprised of 2nd Brigade (Hildyard), 4th Brigade (Norcott) and Divisional troops. For a basic breakup of the units involved, see Maurice Vol. 1 page 490.
