Looking for help guys. Trying to find QSA entitlement for 200 Pte J Summerfield 3rd Northamptonshire Regiment. He is on the Northampton’s QSA roll , no QSA mentioned, There is a note “served with 2nd Devons as 6389”. I can’t find him on the Devons roll.

The 2nd Devons roll (WO100/174p190) lists CC OFS & Tr. A note says 'Served with 3/Northamptons' and 'invalided 23 April 1901'

WO100/174p252 lists SA01 and SA02. The KSA column is also ticked. The SA02 clasp was issued 21 February 1906. A note says 'See obs on 1/7137 3/Northn Regt'

I cannot yet see an entry for his KSA. Very few men of the 3rd Northampton received the KSA. His name does not appear on the Devons' KSA roll.

It does seem odd that he would have received the SA02 clasp but he must have returned to SA at some point in that year.

It appears that his entitlement is CC OFS Tr SA01 SA02.

There are no service papers that I can locate.

Thanks, I have his Militia Long Service medal, so presume he was originally Northamptonshire militia before serving with the Devons.
