Jancodk,

The medal roll says he is not identical with another man called W Taylor in the 1st RPR and Rand Rifles.

He was discharged, time expired, in Cape Town. Address after discharge, c/o Mrs Taylor, Cape Town.

He also served in the Western Province Mounted Rifles as 699 Private. There are a few attestation papers for men of the WPMR but not one for him.

His RPR attestation paper is here: www.angloboerwar.com/unit-information/so...r-regiment-surname-t

Best wishes
David
