Pte D S Holtshousen, Kimberley Town Guard. Appears on the KTG supplementary roll with this spelling of his surname as on the Star with comment "omitted from first roll in error". Main roll includes D Holtzhausen (DOK) with reference to issue off of the KRV roll where he appears as 822 D Holtzhausen (DOK OFS). David's book has him as Holtzhausen although the nominal roll in "The Siege Of Kimberley" places him in the Beaconsfield Town Guard, B Company, Section III, as Holtzhousen !!
I am reasonably confident this is all the same man trying to anglicize his surname. He was ultimately dismissed from the KRV by Field Court Martial 22nd April 1900 for misconduct in the field and sentenced to 3 months imprisonment with hard labour.
