Also this very, very toned medal to James Graham Miers, the son of Mr Thomas Adam Clarke Miers and Mrs Annie Maria Miers and one of nine children. He was born in 1880 and resided in King Street, Brisbane at the time of his attestation. Served with the 5th QLD contingent as well.

A nice couple of examples to QIB. According to OZ BOER site, Pte. Locke also served with the 7th Aus Comm H. He might be entitled to an SA1902 clasp as well and worth looking up.
There is a page and a half in Stirling's The Colonials in South Africa about the doings of 5QIB.
Regards
IL..

Described as:

Dark toned, some small edge nicks, graffiti M/- in obverse field, otherwise nearly extremely fine.

Ex Sid Thurgar Collection and previously Noble Numismatics Sale 111 (lot 4970) (Note medal only had three clasps then as there were no clasps for South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. The medal roll confirms his entitlement to all five clasps).

Thomas Henry Morris confirmed as a Private with 5th Queensland Imperial Bushmen Contingent.

With copy of Medal Roll.

It is not clear why it is accompanied by the VMR badge.
