Hello!

I was wondering if this lovely community could help me and my friend identify who this man is that the medal belongs to and possibly his history. As you can see the impression of his Regl. Num. Name, and Regiment name are quite worn down and the only 100% thing we can make out is his Rank being PTE.

My friend believes it reads, 5435 PTE. A. Powers Lanc RegI but after many hours using the name search on here and the records provided by the British Public Records website, we've come up empty. So I ask humbly can someone please help us out in figuring out just who this is?

Sincerely,
Dememorabilia

They were a bit on the large size, just cropped and made them a bit smaller...…
