Hi

I have a QSA to Pte W Nolte, Marshalls Horse. The surname is incorrectly impressed as "Nolhe ".
The Palmer casualty roll states that Scout W Nolte was MIA Nr Sutherland on 14 April 1902, and he rejoined Marshall's Horse.

I cannot find him on the actual QSA roll under Marshall Horse.

Can anyone advise ?

Regards

Adrian

There are some surviving papers for men who served in Marshall's Horse in WO126/89-90 at Kew, if it were me, I would certainly start there.
He appears to be clearly shown on page 105 in WO100/258 in respect of his medal and clasp.

Indeed, a most pleasing medal, Dennison's Scots, Kimberley Light Horse, Cradock Town Guard, Special Police, CGR and Marshall's Horse.

Thanks Frank and Adrian, I just did not see his name in the Marshalls Roll. But it is a record for me of 5 different units.
