Leonard James Warne, 1879-1942, a plumber before enlisting as a stoker with the Royal Navy on 24/11/1897 (service no 286452), served on HMS Terrible 18/12/1898 to 24/10/1902. On numerous vessels, he reached Chief Stoker on 1/06/1916, & was invalided out of the navy on 3/10/1918
