TOPIC:

I have acquired the above combination to a chap who is in the register of Cape Rebels. According to his Vorm B he was wounded at a place called Vaalboschlaagte in February 1902. Can members please enlighten me as to where that is and what action took place there?

No place of that name in Meurig’s Gazeteer.

Nothing shows up on Google.

Maybe it was a name local to that district known to him only?

Esterhuizen was shot through the right arm and incurred "ander wonden" - other wounds.
