QSA (3) Relief of Mafeking, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 (65 Tpr: P. B. Mayhew. Menne’s Scouts), pawnbroker’s marks in field before portrait.

Described as: P. B. Mayhew of Menne’s Scouts, is confirmed on the medal rolls, and had previously served with the Rhodesia Regiment. The K.S.A. roll makes the remark ‘inefficient service 31.12.00 to 12.2.01’.

KSA (2) (494 Tpr J. Bennett. Natal V.C. Regt.)

M&E say J. Bennet of Menne’s Scouts is confirmed on the roll, and had previously served with the Colonial Scouts. He is also confirmed on the Natal Volunteer Composite Regiment roll.
