I was lucky enough to acquire this on a local auction.

I have wanted to add a QSA named to a 'MISS' as well as a QSA/KSA pair to a nurse, now I have this combination to a civilian nursing sister which covers both bases, and at a considerable saving in the household budget, much to the relief of she who holds the purse strings

Miss R.C.H. Robertson's QSA was issued off the roll to Civilian Nursing Sisters, No 10 General Hospital, signed at Norvals Pont dated 15 July 1901, it is noted that she transferred to Pretoria 7 July 1900.
The KSA was issued to Civilian Nursing Sister, but medal impressed as Nursing Sister, roll dated 28 July 1908 and signed by the Matron in Chief Q.A.I.M.N.S.

Haven't much else to add at this point, but a nice combination.

Jon

Indeed! It is a fine pair of medals, Jon. I enjoy reading about the shortening of 'must have' lists. One of my unfulfilled wishes is for the QSA to a Natal nurse. They are very rare and very expensive, so I am not optimistic.

A good pair Jon. I thought long but not too hard about this one:)

I have a QSA/KSA pair to a Nursing Sister who received the RRC - if anyone has a spare lying around I'm your man.

Regards

Rory

Well done Jon.

Was hoping someone else might secure these so it would free up a medal from his collection that I could purchase, ah well, next time...
