TOPIC:

Allow me to introduce you to today's addition to the collection.

Captain A. Welsh was the Officer Commanding the Adelaide District Mounted Troops. A brief foray into the medal roll shows 88 medals issued to this outfit but I stand to be corrected on that score... He also signed the roll.

I have just begun the research but suspect that he was Alexander Welsh, a wealthy farmer from the Bedford/Adelaide district who was later a Justice of the Peace.
