Looking back at the Spink sale this week, I see the medal to A Bogle, IMR, sold for a hammer price of £50. Totals (inc VAT on the commission for the UK only): £62. R1,200. Au$110. Can$100. US$80. The cheapest QSA I have seen for a long time.

With exceptions e.g some or other interesting comments under the remarks column, the Railway related medals don't attract much interest.

I was successful with my bid on the medal to Glen. I am sure that I have seen it previously on a dealers list. Now to see if there is a connection to another Glen that is in the collection.

Some of the TG medals were also depressingly cheap. The medals I sell from my collection these days still don't make as much as I paid 10 years ago.

Those TG medals do my head in. The prices are ‘up’ at one auction and ‘down’ the next. I was successful with one last DNW and only one the auction before that. I don’t need to mention that can become an expensive purchase when the extras are added on.
