I came across this group that is currently listed by Gordon's Medals for £695 (hammered at DNW in February 2016 for £440)

QSA (2) CC Tr (Capt. T. G. Pirie, C/Sq. Paget’s H.);
1914 Star (Capt. T. G. Pirie, Gord: Highrs.);
British War and Victory Medals (Major T. G. Pirie.)

He studied at Clifton College, before joining the Gordon Highlanders on 9 September 1882, ended the war serving in the Headquarters in France, serving on the staff of the Transport Department, he latterly resided at Medmenham Abbey, Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

What caught my eye was the naming of the QSA: (Capt. T. G. Pirie, C/Sq. Paget’s H.)

I was expecting a Paget's Horse QSA to be named to the IY? Has anyone seen medals officially named to Paget's Horse?

You certainly do, on occasion, encounter medals, engraved to their commissioned recipients and impressed to rankers in the Imperial Yeomanry that bare the particular units name, rather than merely IY, a typical example would be Lovat's Scouts.
