Good Morning Everyone......
Was packing up some old duplicate copies of the OMRS Journal, I am disposing of for a sale this weekend, yesterday and came across the following.....
Two interesting articles "The Queen's South Africa Medal - For Gallantry" and "The Salvation Army: QSA and BWM", both articles written by Patrick Street and published in the Summer 1991 Journal.....
One of my latest acquisitions as described here is mentioned in the article:
www.angloboerwar.com/forum/11-research/2...nit-check-help#49034
There are 52 names on the roll "For Gallantry" and in the Salvation Army there are 2 names where medals were issued as late as 1914 out of 26 members who served in SA.....
All the "Gallantry" were issued to "Postal Telegraph Department - Cape Colony" and "Engineering Staff, Department of Cable and Telegraph".....
An interesting read.....
