I have acquired a single clasp Relief of Ladysmith QSA to William James Bell of the Imperial Light Infantry.

Does anyone have any info on him? I have his attestation form from this site (thank you David)

The Natal Field Force Casualty Roll has 197 Pte Bell, ILI, as wounded on Spioenkop. It might be him and it would account for the single clasp RoL.

Sadly 197 William Bell is the man just above mine on the nominal roll.

Fortunately the attestation forms for surnames beginning with the letter "B" are on this site but there isn't much info to be had on my chaps form. On the medal roll his next of kin lived in Londonderry so there is an Irish connection but all my efforts have proved futile in extrapolating his information.
