I have acquired a single clasp QSA to 2291 Tpr. A.W. Lean of the Natal Police. The clasp is for the Defence of Ladysmith.

Holt in his excellent book on the unit states that there were 84 NP members who were holed up in Ladysmith during the Siege. Is there any other publication e.g. diary etc. which would provide one with a bit more detail as to who these chaps were and what they got up to?

I have a copy of 'The Diary of the Siege of Ladysmith kept by Sgt Dick Seed of the Natal Police, which was 'Reproduced by the Photo-Duplication Department of the University of Natal', probably at the time I was a student there (i.e. a long time ago). You may borrow it.
