This QSA was awarded to 15710 Gunner T Coulstock of the 10th Mountain Battery. He died of enteric on 2 Apr 1900 whilst at Mooi River after the siege. He received the single clasp to his QSA.

A few years ago, the South African Military History Journal published two very useful and interesting articles on the 10th Mounted Battery. They were written by Ian James Cross of Pietermaritzburg and were as follows:

Do you have a copy of this I could get from you? I have a chap who received the BSAC medal (GC Jolliffe)to the 10th Mountain Battery and I have been battling to find out more about their movements and actions ever since.
