Somehow or other, I thought that a family with such an impressive military record would leave a mark in civilian life. I should point out that the naming is LOXTON and not FOXON.
Best regards

I am embarrassed (again)! I was about to send you a pm about the Foxons because of a recent development concerning them. It is not relevant to this forum, and, as it turns out, it is irrelevant to you as well, hence the pm that will not be sent!

Brett

Hi IL

Henry Loxton was my 1st cousin, four times removed (his father and my 3rd great grandfather were brothers). I suspect that Loxton's Horse (Loot Corps) was raised and led by his brother, Samuel Loxton. I am busy researching my Loxton Family and would like to request permission to use your medals image and accompanying info on my genealogy website?

Regards
Ian

Hello Ian

I have a reference to this website: www.loxton.co.za/general.htm which is now defunct, is/was this yours?

Hi Meurig

No, I use Geni.com to build my family tree. I've seen one or two Loxton websites come and go which is a little frustrating. I have some letters written by Loxton family members dating back to the 1850s, but not relevant here as they're not ABW related.

Regards
Ian
