These are some examples of veterans associations badges, which were formed after the war, which I thought might be interesting to see.

The Standard badge of the veterans association

This is an example of the Scottish branch of the veterans.

The City Imperial Volunteers Old Comrades Association.

This is an example of the Australian South Africa Soldiers Association

Another example of veterans association from Quebec, Canada

The New Zealand badge is in gold and was given to VIP'S and other important personalities, I have seen examples of the badge in bronze.

There seems to be an endless list of collectibles that relate to the Boer War. Thank you for showing these badges.

One of the standard badges, together with some of the SA Light Horse items in my collection came to me with a World War II group of three medals to a man who served on SAAF crash boats. Brian C is now the owner of the WWII medals, but I did not part with the Boer War items. He may want them now that he has been bitten by the Boer War bug.

Regards
Brett

Gentlemen,
I think that these are all really super little items and they can still be bought for what is, these days, very little money if you look hard enough.

I find that they are getting harder and harder to find now these days, even on the internet, you don't find them so much.

You do see the standard veteran badge from time to time on auction sites like e-bay, that go anything from a few £'s to £30 or £40.00 and even more sometimes, but the other badges not so much. Of course there is always Sally Bosley badges.

You just don't see them in the old junk shops or even the collectors and antiques fairs.

Best regards,
