Slouch hat title of Steinakers Horse. They deployed mainly in the Northern Natal area.

That particular badge was die-cast in Natal, but, Frank Steinaecker and "his" Horse operated in both the Northern Transvaal and indeed across the border into what was, back then, the Kingdom of Portugal.

Frank

The deployment was actually in the eastern Transvaal in what is today the Province of Mpumalanga. The old northern Transvaal is now the Province of Limpopo. SH had camps in the present-day Kruger National Park, which have been the focus of controlled excavations by archaeologists in recent years.

Regards
Brett

PS Madziro - I like the SH badge! It is one that it still missing from my collection. Thank you for showing it.

Hello Brett,
Yes, Portugese territory would be to the east and not the north, I need to look at the map a little more often I think, as for names, I have already mentioned to Adrian, if he could tell Jacob to "stop it now" both I and many others would be grateful!
Kind regards Frank

Damn......

I was offered one at the Easter Show..... Cast as well...... The person selling to me said it was Strathcona Horse and I knew it wasn't but not sure as to what unit......
He only wanted $25.00 for it if my memory serves me right...... Should have bought it just on speculation.....

Hi Mike,
$25! a bargain, but then, most people don't know what they actually are.
Not your fault, never mind, you will know next time!
