Dear Mike,
I'd be very keen to see the reverse of this particular badge, do you think you could take another photo please?
Kind regards Frank.

Hello Mike,
Very many thanks, I'll get back to you on this one, don't worry, nothing bad, just have a speculative supposition on this badge, Colin Owen won't agree with me though!

Hello Mike,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, the way I file things needs to be looked at! :(
Right then, to business, what I strongly believe these little bits of silver to be are actually Dennison's Scouts!
I cannot prove that, my belief stems from a number of conversations I had about some 20 years ago!
They are certainly rare, the one in Owen belonged to a friend of mine and yours is only the third I've ever seen in 20 years!
Frank

Good Morning Frank.....

Nice surprise to wake up to....

The only reference book that I have is Owens.....

I can see your point though, the other badges listed as Driscoll's Scouts are very fancy if you can call it that..... This is a bit plain.....

Thanks again....

Mike

P.S. I rec'd a call last night from a local store that knows I collect this type of item and if they have what they described I may be obtaining a Uitenhage Rifles today, Owen number 297.....
