Hi All, I recently purchased this item. Believe it is part of a shoulder title of the KOYLI. Has anyone seen one before ? Does anyone have a photo of one been worn ? Am I correct in thinking just the 2nd Btn served in the Boer War ?

The 1st moved to Ireland in January 1900 and were there throughout the war. The 3rd (Militia) were embodied and were moved to Malta and a few other places. See Wylly's History of the KOYLI, vol 2, can be viewed for free at the Hathi Trust site
