Driscoll's Scouts and Gorringes Flying Column 3 years 3 months ago #74397

Good afternoon,

I'm new to this site. I have just discovered that my Grandfather took part in the 2nd Boer war.

He is listed as Trooper Harry Bathurst Tighe in Gorringers Flying Column. Nominal roll WO127. Regimental number 66. He served from 28-01-1901 to 30-04-1901.

He is also listed as 52422 Trooper Harry Tighe with Driscoll's Scout's from 13-01-1902 to 30-06-1902.

I w.ould like to know how how get a copy of his records as well as what medals and clasps he would have been issued with. Who can help me?

Regards

Tighe is clearly shown in WO100/248 and WO100/245 for his medal and Orange Free State, Transvaal and both South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. clasps, surviving SAMIF papers for rank and file members of Driscoll's Scouts and Gorringes Flying Column are in WO126/41-43 and WO126/48 respectively at Kew.
