Twenty-two men of Helensburgh received inscribed clocks from the townspeople, in November 1901. At least two of the clocks still exist, and at the date of the article (2012) one was for sale in a Kent antiques shop.

One of the clocks, possibly the one above, was bought by Helensburgh Heritage Trust in 2013, and is now on display at the Civic Centre.

Many thanks, Berenice.

A horrible site to visit - they really are an advertiser - but very interesting content.

Most online sites of newspapers are full of clickbait now.

Here's the clock that is now in Helensburgh.
