Hi
I am currently tracing my family tree and have found army papers for my great great grandfather
Who fought in the boer war. His name is John Higgins from Cardiff', I'm sure it says he was in the 24th or something like that. It says he was in Chatham, then Gibraltar, Natal and then Zululand.
Does this make sense to you guys?
I am basically trying to find out all I can about him, campaigns and medals etc...
Any help would be gratefully received.

If you have the service papers, the first page will show your ggf's service number and regiment. If you list these, it will be far easier to assist you.
