I'm new to the site and was drawn to it due to helping my partner research her family history. We have a couple of photos of her paternal grandfather in the uniform of the Norfolk Regiment. In the first of the photos he appears to be a boy soldier but he is older in the second and is proudly wearing what have been identified as the QSA and the KSA. He is standing in front of a photographers backdrop which features images of Queen Victoria and her son George, Prince of Wales with the Prince of Wales feathers prominent. There are battle scenes on the backdrop which appear to be from the Boer War hence my joining this site to learn more about him and the Regiment's activities in South Africa.
