Hi

I'm trying to locate where these battlefields are. I think they may be one and the same place where battles took place on 17 January 1901 and 1 April 1902. They are situated east of Springs, the town on the eastern edge of the Witwatersrand and north of a railway siding which I think is now the town of Balfour.

Best regards
Peter Jordi

Imperial Map (1900)

Boschman's Kop and Leeuwkop don't appear to be close to a railway siding (Springs was the terminus) .....

Peter,

Boschman's Kranz, on the other hand, is not far from the Standerton line (but not near Springs) ....

This shows the three farms in relation to one another. Boschman's Kranz is about forty miles southeast of Boschman's Kop and Leeuwkop
