Hi Ramah,

Since he was captured in February 1901 there is only one "hit" on the POW database with that surname; he also does'nt list an oversees POW camp which aligns with the database that he was held at Ladysmith.

With that reasoning it puts his age at 41 that would mean he was born circa 1860. If that was the case then this would be his marriage certificate from 1884:



If you are having trouble posting pictures then you could snip the image using microsofts "snipping tool" or Apple equivalent and then save it as a picture; that will reduce the size and give it decent definition.
