Yes, William was punished and sent to Bermuda, I even have a photo of the Battn when they were in Bermuda.

Looking at his service papers, there is no mention of South Africa.
He served in Bermuda and Home Garrisons.. Also, there are over 500 medal rolls on Ancestry pertaining to the Grenadiers and the medal entitlement for the Boer War. I checked them last night, quite a few Harrisons. Alas no match to your paternal Grandfather..

My question is, why do you think he served in South Africa?Do you have any documentation or family history which proves that he did serve in the Boer War?
