Good morning. Browsing certain sites is always interesting! On this site I noticed the confusion between CFA and CGA. I would like to refer the reader(s) to the following: South African Artillery Compendium by Lionel Crook. It is a great reference work and covers all artillery units that have existed in South Africa. Includes SA Air Force, Anti-Aircraft and Surface to Air Missiles as well as South African Corps of Marines, Air defence and Coast Artillery. There is reference re the author on some unpublished work and includes the title : Coast Gunners - Cape Garrison Artillery 1879-1958. Unfortunately Lionel has passed away and I am not aware re the status of this work! I was a member of CFA from 1971 until I retired in 2014! I commanded the regiment from March 1995 to March 2004 and again from June 2008 to 2014!!
