Hi all,
A very interesting and informative site.

I am currently the curator of the King's Own Scottish Borderers museum in Berwick-upon-Tweed and have also been a medal collector for the last 25 years.

The museum holds some interesting QSA groups and singles, the best being the VC, DSO, QSA to Gustavus Hamilton Blenkinsopp Coulson. We also have a couple of Boer War Tribute medals.

Always interested in purchasing medals for either the museum or for my own collection which consists of:

IGSM 1854, QSA (Clasps CC, OFS, Trans) to 2026 Pte J.R. Jowitt.
IGSM 1895, QSA (Clasps CC, Paard, Jo'burg, KSA SA1901, SA1902) to 8009 Pte later Sgt G. Heath & 14/15 Star Trio (who served 2nd, 1st and 6th Bn's).
QSA (Clasps CC, Paard, Jo'burg, KSA SA1901, SA1902) GV LSGC, GV MSM, to 5778 Sgt F. Voase later RSM of the 3rd Bn and Depot WW1 (MSM his only entitlement for WW1).
QSA (Clasps CC, OFS, Trans SA1902) to 3746 Pte H. Edgar, BWM & Vic Medal (to a Drummer in the 3rd Militia Bn and 1/4th Bn WW1(Missing a 14/15 Star)).
QSA (Clasp CC) to 6593 Pte H. Ferguson who was the first KOSB casualty of the Boer War.
QSA (Clasps Trans, SA1902) to 3633 Pte W. Virtue.

I have a couple of articles on Voase and Ferguson which I will publish when I get a moment.

Regards
Gerry

Hello Gerry,

Welcome to the forum.
I would be very interested in seeing details and photographs of the two tribute medals you say you have in the KOSB museum.

Welcome aboard and a sincere and hearty thanks for your tip on reuniting Color Sjt. J. Williamsons Egypt Medals with his QSA! It's been a while since I've been to the museum, but next time I'm in Berrick, I'll stop in and take you for a beer!
Cheers and all the very best,
John
