I'm also a long time stalker of this website and have really appreciated all the information and helpful resources that it provides; well done to those involved and for preserving history.
I'm an ex-South African now living in Perth and always had a fascination with the Boer & Zulu Wars ever since visiting the battlefields in Standard 4 in the '80's.
My only link to the Boer War is that my great grandfather was asked to survey the Boer War battlefields in Northern Natal and one of the maps (Birds Eye Map of Natal Battlefields) was published in "Natal: Illustrated official railway guide 1903 by Harrison"; a compressed version is attached.
I have a small number of medals from the Boer War as well as South Africa 1877 to 1879; I get a real kick out of researching the history of the people involved and the conflicts they were involved in.

Welcome to the forum Sturgy, I'll look forward to reading your posts in the near future.
And thanks for posting the Birds Eye View Map, very interesting that your GT grandfather was the man who drew it up
