In going through family papers I found a packet marked Boer War and found a fascinating letter written to my Great Grandmother by a Captain Pollock who was imprisoned by the Boers and it was written from Staats Model School at Pretoria: the hand writing is not so easy but I am working on getting it typed up. If there are any relatives of this Captain M Pollock who was imprisoned in 1899 I should be delighted to show you the letter
