Hello from New Jersey! I am researching my Gt Gt Grandfather's Military history. All I have is that he was born in Cape Town, was a Drum Major in the Kings Own Scottish Borderers during the Anglo Boer war. When researching so far I cannot find an Isaac Ross in the KOSBE online records, but I do find 2 when doing a general search. One in Nesbitt;s Horse and the other in the Highland Light Infantry, so I am a little confused. Family history by word of mouth can of course become confused over the years. My Gt Grandmother, Jessie Edith Ross and her 2 sisters were also born in Cape Town but they returned to England via Malta sometime after the war. The KOSBE Museum in Berwick upon Tweed is the only place to find actual records as they are not online. If anyone can advise me where to look for more detailed records I would be most grateful. Thank you, Ryan
