Just joined, and interested in family history. Great grandpa was a soldier in the Boer war, he is not listed here though! I have his kings and Queens medals, as well as his Ashanti star, and his first world war medals! I also have his pocket watch as best shot in the regiment.

Dave,

Welcome to the Forum.

The combination of the Ashanti Star and QSA is not that common as few men served in that campaign. Is the Regiment the West Yorks?

Best wishes
David
