Hi all.
My name is Liz Charles and I live in South Africa.

How wonderful to find this site! I have been searching for info about my hubby's grandfather for so long and have now today found out that he was a Regimental Sergeant Major of the 5th Dragoon Guards stationed in SA and the tent peg champion of the then Transvaal. He was apparently at the siege of Ladysmith. If there is anyone out there that can point me in the right direction to get more info I will be so very grateful.
