My name is Mel and my main interest is Boer War medals to my local regiment The Sherwood Foresters (Derbyshire Regt). I have been researching and collecting medals to this regiment for over 45 years and since my retirement I have had the pleasure of working at the regimental museum for the last 12 years doing many varied jobs assisting the Curator and Archivist. Thank you for the welcome and Mike the signature is that of Colonel Herbert Brooke Taylor, commanded the 2VB and retired in 1904.
