Hi, joined to find out more information on the following

Henry Wade, civil surgeon with the Royal Scots Fusilers

The Royal Scots Fusiliers

and

Medical Services in the Boer War.

I live in Folkestone, study mainly the First World War, but researching Henry wade.

Peter,

On the medal rolls is a Civil Surgeon H Wade, shown as attached to the RAMC on WO100/226p15. He earned the clasps Wittebergen, Cape Colony and Transvaal.

He went on to be Sir Henry Wade DMG DSO MD FRCS FRCSEd.

There is a obituary of him and portrait in the BMJ 5 Mar 1955, p607.
