I have been tracing my family history for a couple of years and have in my possession an old book called The Anglo Boer War 1899 -1900 1901-1902 (see picture). The dedication in the front is to the memory of my great, great, great grandfather Chamberlain Beebe who was from Rutland but was too old to have fought in this war. I have only seen one similar book on ebay but it did not have the additional section 1901-1902. I want to sell the book but also to find out any connection between my ancestors named Beebe and the Boer War.

I have only just discovered this website but any help gratefully received.

Hello Christine,
Welcome here, there was a certain 4471 Private Chamberlain Beebe in the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry who served in South Africa during the Anglo Boer War, who I take to be him.
