Very nice Paul,
I've not seen that one before, what always strikes me, is just how much trouble was gone to with these fine memorials, some of them really are quite incredible and I would desrcibe them as almost objet d'art except they are often anything but small.

A great photo Paul especially as that site no longer exists at Modder River.

Hancox was a photographer based in Kimberley.

Master Jim had probably been sent to Cape Town to get a decent education. Anyone who knows Kimberley will understand why the rainfall was the only bit of news worth passing on.
