Good Evening Gentlemen......

Just found this thread......

There are 3 different versions of the Ogdens Cigarette Cards.....

1) First Type, Actual Photograph reverse plain.

2) Second Type, Printed Photograph reverse plain.

3) Thrid Type, Printed Photograph reverse printed with info on person in photo.

I used to collect these up when ever I could, all three types and then I was at a car boot sale in Blackpool in 1998 and found an album with a complete set of the first type..... Had to purchase it......

Some photos of some of the album pages.....

The other pictures are of duplicates (about 100) that I have if anyone is interested.....

There are some Boer War ones and also Boxer Rebellion.....

Hello Mike,

Thank you for adding to the thread and displaying your superb collection.
I really like the album, do you think it was extra purchase for the Ogden smokers simular to when you buy a binder for monthly magazines.
I am sure there must be thousands of odd cards scattered around in various places across the houses of the UK a lot of smokers in those days!

Gentlemen,
I am shocked at the prices now being payed for Taddy's cards, not just as sets, but, as single cards as well, £10, £12, £15 each!
