I see I have posted this under the incorrect forum :-) Never mind ....

Hi,

I am posting this on behalf of a gentleman who is not very computer literate. He has quite a large collection of Anglo-Boer war memorabilia, such as POW camp money, parole passes, etc.

He would like to sell these items - either as a collection, or as single items.

The problem is, neither of us have any idea of how much the items are worth, how collectable they are, or where to advertise them.

Any advice would be appreciated. I can post pictures etc.

Regards and thanks

Posting a few pictures together with any known provenance would be a good start. It would give collectors an indication of what is being offered, its condition etc.

Great, thanks. I’m waiting for the owner to send me some photos, and will post when I receive them. I understand that he inherited them from his father, who was a collector. I will try and find out more regarding the provenance.
