Hundreds of thousands of women were affected by the Anglo Boer War but few of their stories have been told. These encompass the lives of Boer women and their families on the veldt and in the dreadful concentration camps, the Boer women who fought alongside the men, the women on both sides who tendered the injured and the many, many women who waited with constant anxiety for news from the war.

A new section of the forum has been created today to give more focus to this important aspect of the Anglo Boer War.

I have started moving relevant past posts to this new category and wanted to alert members to its creation.
