We have recently put on line two websites for service men & women who are buried in the Gorton or Philips park cemeteries in Manchester. If any of these are related to you or your research and would like a photo of the grave, please let me know either on here or on our family history forum. As this is an on going project, we don't have all the grave photos but will be constantly updating our website.

I echo David's thanks, although I am very familar with very many famous local men, doubtless most forum members here will not be and indeed, although, this is an Anglo Boer War forum, I am sure that many members will be interested to see the graves of men who defended the mission station of Rorke's Drift in Natal just twenty years earlier.
