* Hexham's WW1 memorial lists a C.S.M. W.A. Charlton of the 4th Northumberland Fusilers as being killed in that war. The CWGC records him as Serjeant William Anthony Charlton, 1st/6th Northumberland Fusiliers, died 16.11.1916. The same W.A. Charlton?
