I had to take this photograph through a window as I couldn't get access but at least I managed to get a picture. It's inside St Leonard's Church, Bradley-in-the-Moors, Staffordshire.

Berenice,

Here is the memorial in the Estcourt/Frere District of Natal which shows William Coxon's name.

Like many men in the Colonial Scouts, William Coxon received the RoL clasp. The QSA roll contains no other information about him. He died of enteric.

I wonder what a Cambridge graduate was doing in the Colonial Scouts?
